In the story so far, the Israelites have everything going in their favor. Chapter 1 through 6 of the book of Joshua highlights their victories. Chapter 7 poses a different mood. Here for the first time, Israel suffered defeat.

Courage is defined as the ability to something that frightens one or strength in face of pain or grief. The same meaning applies in our Christian walk.
